Diablo 3's long-awaited Patch 2.3.0 has finally arrived on PC in the Americas, developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment announced on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

The patch will rattle the fault lines for awhile, as players in the Americas won't be able to join servers in Asia and Europe until the patch arrives in those regions.

The patch includes plenty of buff and nerfs to monsters, Adventure mode, items and classes. Some of the headliners include new addition Kanai's Cube, new zone Ruins of Sescheron, four new Torment levels and the new Season Journey interface.

The Ruins of Sescheron are described as a frozen wasteland stocked with new traps and enemies and littered with environmental hazards. Players will get to learn more lore and will have the opportunity to pick up Kanai's Cube.

"Kanai's Cube is a new artisan that offers a slew of new recipes to fully customize your items and catalog your Legendary powers," said Blizzard. "Several recipes are available to players immediately upon acquiring Kanai's Cube."

Players in possession of Kanai's Cube can convert Set items to random gear, upgrade Rare items to Legendary, convert gems and convert materials. Players will also be able to use the cube to rework Legendary gear and cannibalize Legendary power from items.

Patch 2.3.0 also adds four new Torment levels, bringing the count up to 10:
–Torment VII (prerequisite: Paragon level 100)
–Torment VIII (prerequisite: Paragon level 150)
–Torment IX (prerequisite: Paragon level 200)
–Torment X (prerequisite: Paragon level 250)

Rounding out the massive patch, Blizzard paved the way for a feature that won't be unlocked until season 4 arrives. Season Journey will track each player's individual progress, starting with the next installment.

The Season Journey milestone will celebrate player progress, but it will become increasingly difficult for the individual to progress. Hitting the level cap will open up new portrait rewards.

"There's so much to look forward to in Season 4, and we can't wait to see what you'll achieve," said Blizzard. "With brand new Set items and Kanai's Cube to shake up the game, this may be our best Season yet!"
