Samsung is making its "Ultimate Test Drive" for iPhone users a little sweeter. It is offering buyers $100 in Google Play credit and an extra $100 if they trade in their iPhone to a carrier or retailer.

When Apple released the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last September, the smartphones shattered previous sales records, and it was virtually impossible to find either model in retail or online stores for weeks. We reported on a worldwide availability tracker, istocknow, which helped customers find the exact model they were searching for by using real-time inventory of Apple stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack and Target. The service has since added Apple Watch to the mix, and it's safe to assume that it will begin tracking iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus availability when the pair go on sale in September.

Samsung is also doing its part to help iPhone customers, but in a very different way. The smartphone maker has already launched its "Ultimate Test Drive," which allows iPhone users to try out the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+ or Galaxy S6 Edge completely free for 30 days. The promotion appears to be a success, as the company has already run out of test drive devices but promises it is currently working on a way to make the "Ultimate Test Drive" available to even more people.

If you were able to score a Test Drive device and purchased a qualifying smartphone, Samsung is making the deal even sweeter. On its promotions page, Samsung has announced that customers who purchase a Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+ or Galaxy S6 Edge are eligible to receive a $100 Google Play credit and an extra $100 check if they trade in their iPhone with a carrier or retailer.

In order to take advantage of Samsung's new Test Drive promotion, you'll need to verify your email address, answer a few questions about your experience with the Samsung Ultimate Test Drive, enter your phone's purchase details and upload a photo of your receipt. Samsung will then email your $100 Google Play credit and mail a $100 check.
