Motorola could launch its next-generation Moto X Force powerhouse, codenamed "Bounce," in December, at a price point of roughly $628.

Rumors of a new Moto flagship with the codename Bounce started to make rounds a few weeks ago, hinting a powerful device with a rugged, shatterproof build and high-end specs all around.

The device is expected to launch as the Moto X Force and more details have come to light recently, painting an exciting picture of what's to come. Famous tipster @UpLeaks has gradually revealed various details regarding the Moto X Force, including spec and release details.

According to the tipster, the Moto X Force, codenamed Bounce, will boast a 5.43-inch "shatterproof" display with a WQHD resolution, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2GHz and 3GB of RAM (DDR4). Other specifications apparently include a powerful 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter combo, with LED flash, and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage capacity, expandable via microSD. A 3,760 mAh battery will reportedly keep things up and running.

The tipster claims that Motorola will release its Moto X Force powerhouse in December, and it seems the handset will come at a price point of 4,000 CNY, which translates to roughly $628, as Android Authority reports. That's not a very budget-friendly price tag, but it doesn't sound too farfetched either if the rumored specifications turn out to be accurate. High-end specs usually come with a price to match and getting a powerful flagship off-contract is definitely not cheap.

On the other hand, this price could prompt Moto fans to settle for the newly-released Moto X Style, i.e. the new Pure Edition, which has some powerful specs of its own but at a more affordable price point. The Moto X Pure Edition is available for pre-order now starting at $399 off-contract and boasts a 5.7-inch QHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage, microSD support for up to 128GB of additional storage, a 21-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter and a 3,000 mAh battery.

In other words, the Moto X Force may be higher-specced, but it remains to be seen whether it will convince users to shell out more than $200 extra for the spec bump over the Moto X Pure Edition.
