Gwent players rejoice: if you've spent hours playing the card game in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you'll soon have the opportunity to play it for real when CD Projekt Red releases a physical version of the game.

That's right — the game developer still has a lot in store for fans of The Witcher 3, including more DLC and Gwent card packs.

Next month sees the biggest expansion of the game arrive to date, "Hearts of Stone," which adds nearly 10 more hours to gameplay time. According to CD Projekt Red, this new DLC will take place in "the wilds of No Man's Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt where [Geralt will] try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed."

Players interested in getting a little something extra can purchase the physical limited boxed edition of "Hearts of Stone" at retail stores, which not only includes a download code for the DLC, but also two real decks of Gwent, along with a manual explaining the rules. That edition of the game will cost $19.99.

For players who have already purchased the expansion digitally, it's likely that CD Projekt Red will release the cards on their own at some point, so you can still play Gwent with your friends. The digital-only version of the DLC costs just $9.99.

"We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content," said CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński to IGN. "As gamers, we'd like to bring that back. We've said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for money."

CD Projekt Red plans on releasing a second expansion, with around 20 hours of new content, in 2016 called "Blood and Wine" — giving players new areas to explore, those yet untouched by the war that's going on in Geralt's world.

"Hearts of Stone" releases on October 13 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
