Apple has unveiled the next generation of the iPhone, including a number of great new features such as 3D Touch, which is essentially Force Touch for the iPhone.

The device is also now available in rose gold and includes Apple's new 64-bit A9 processor, boasting a 70 percent increase in CPU speed and 90 percent increase in GPU speed.

The biggest addition to the device is the addition of 3D Touch, which essentially offers a new level of control to the iPhone. Users can press down on the display to access things like peeks at emails and can do the same for apps to access quick features and pages.

Along with the A9 processor is the M9 co-processor, which is now built into Apple's A9. The M9 processor essentially helps with things like health tracking and Siri.

The iPhone is known for its camera quality, and the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be no exception. Apple has finally upgraded its sensor to 12 megapixels. Along with the increase in pixels, the company has developed new technology that helps eliminate things like crosstalk, using what it calls Deep Trench technology to separate the diodes in the camera sensor. Last but not least is the fact that the camera can now shoot 4K video.

Apple is also leveraging 3D Touch technology for what it calls "Live Photos." Live Photos essentially capture 1.5 seconds before and after the photo in order to give them movement as well as sound.

The front-facing camera has also been given an upgrade to be 5 megapixels, and the iPhone will now use the display as a True Tone flash, with the display tech able to be three times brighter for camera flashes.

Next up is the Touch ID, which has been given an upgrade to be two times faster. Basically, when a user needs to scan their fingerprint, it will be much faster than before.

Apple has also released an app for the Android Google Play Store that helps users more easily transfer their data to a new iPhone, should they decide to switch over.

Other features include faster Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity, which is certainly nice but won't mean much if the connection itself is slow. The iPhone 6S will start at $199, with the 6S Plus starting at $299. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are now $100 cheaper. Apple has also started a program called the iPhone Upgrade program, which starts at $32 per month and allows users to upgrade phones every year.

The device will be up for preorder on September 12 and will go on sale on September 25.
