At this point, Super Mario Maker is chock full of music players. Some are good, some are bad, and some are just a bunch of note blocks placed at random. It's a side effect of the game's still-growing community: at some point, Super Mario Maker will likely be more traditional levels than anything else, but for now, musical stages are some of the most popular ones in the game.

Of course, most of the musical stages so far are based on classic Mario tunes. It makes sense, given that Super Mario Maker is basically a tribute to thirty years of Mario... but that doesn't mean all of the musical levels are strictly Mario tunes. In fact, one of the best musical stages doesn't even have anything to do with gaming at all.

"Head-Cha-La!" is a relatively short level, but that doesn't make it any less impressive: built by Eddie Stilson, the entire stage is a tribute to the original Japanese opening of Dragon Ball Z. Again, it's pretty short, but there's no denying how good Stilson's recreation is, especially considering it was made almost entirely with Mario sound effects:

All things considered, Stilson's recreation is pretty spot-on (the 8-bit Goku is a nice touch). With any luck, this won't be the last time that Dragon Ball Z crosses over with Super Mario Maker — who's up for making "Rock the Dragon"?
