Google's Android Pay is now officially available and is already compatible with selected HTC devices on all four major U.S. carriers.

Android Pay is Google's latest mobile wallet and payments service and it recently rolled out to the public, without replacing the existing Google Wallet app. HTC didn't waste any time when it comes to Android Pay, as the company already worked with Google to enable the new mobile payments service on a number of its devices from different U.S. carries.

HTC took to Reddit to announce that several HTC products are now ready to get Android Pay, enabling users to make simple and secure mobile payments. The company further offers a list of HTC Android Pay compatible smartphones and tablets for the four major U.S. carriers:

AT&T

According to HTC, Android Pay-compatible smartphones on AT&T include the HTC One M9, One M8, One M7, HTC Desire EYE and Desire 626.

Verizon Wireless

HTC smartphones compatible with Android Pay on Verizon's network include the HTC One M9, One M8, One M7, HTC Desire 626 and the HTC-made Google Nexus 9 tablet.

Sprint

For Sprint, HTC enabled its One M9, One M8, One E8, One M7, One Max, Desire 601 and Desire 816 to work with Android Pay.

T-Mobile

Lastly, the T-Mobile will get four HTC devices compatible with Android Pay: the HTC One M9, One M8 and One M7 smartphones and the Nexus 9 tablet.

Google's official Android Pay app is now available for download from the Google Play, ready to go head-to-head with Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.

Owners of the aforementioned HTC devices can download the app, add their debit or credit card details and start shopping by paying for their purchases by placing their mobile device near a contactless payment terminal. Android Pay also stores users' loyalty cards, rewards and points at selected merchants.

A number of shops now accept Android Pay, including Bloomingdales, GameStop, Macy's, Verizon, Toys 'R US, Whole Foods and others.

It's worth pointing out, however, that some HTC device owners, commenting on HTC's post on Reddit, are reporting that Android Pay isn't working for their device just yet, so there may be some issues or a slight delay for now.
