Marvel's Ant-Man is doing pretty well for itself as the latest report claims the movie has surpassed the $400 million mark at the worldwide box office.

Due to the enormous issue with Edgar Wright, not many fans believed the film would make it this far, but those doubts have been put to rest. $400 million from a movie with a virtually unknown character is pretty impressive, and it is not as if it is over just yet.

Ant-Man is set to open in China, a market of over 1 billion people though only a fraction of that number will go out to see the film. If things go well, Ant-Man could pull in another $50 million up to $100 million in this market alone, ending at a cool $500 million haul.

The numbers are small when compared to other big hits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, things could change for the better when the sequel comes around, and that should prove if folks enjoyed the first.

Ant-Man is all about a thief, was tricked in stealing a suit that allows him to shrink himself to the size of an ant or so small that he would become nothing.

It's a fun movie, though not the best of what Marvel Studios has to offer. The jokes aren't that funny and the action scenes are basic, but as you can see, that is not enough to stop the film from making the big bucks.

Fans of the character can get to see him next in Captain America: Civil War, a film that is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2016. This movie will showcase several members of the Avengers while still attempting to be a Captain America movie.

We're not sure how Marvel Studios and Disney plan on making this overcrowded film feel like Captain America is the leading man, but we are intrigued to find out when it releases next year in theaters worldwide.
