The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 that was released in early September is available on eBay at a discounted price of $349.99.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 in July this year. The starting retail price of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is $399.99, while the bigger 9.7-inch variant has a price tag of $499.99.

Customers who are interested in purchasing the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 can get a discount of $50 as the 32GB version of the tablet is available on eBay for $349.99 but in limited quantities.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 as direct competition to the recently launched iPad mini 4 and the iPad Pro 2, which has a starting price of $399 and $499.

The base model of the iPad mini 4 has 16GB of on-board storage and users cannot expand the memory with a microSD card. Customers who opt for the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 get 32GB of internal storage and also the option to expand the memory to another 128GB with a microSD card, a feature that gives the Samsung tablet an edge over the iPad mini 4.

The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 comes with an 8-inch Super AMOLED display with 1,536 x 2,048 pixels resolution and 320ppi. The Samsung tablet has adaptive display technology that helps users operate the device with ease in sunlight or low-light conditions.

A combination of powerful octa-core 1.9GHz and 1.3GHz processors and 3GB of RAM power the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. The tablet is equipped with an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. The camera lacks flash, which makes it difficult to capture quality images in dark conditions.
