Verizon has quietly launched on its network the Samsung Galaxy Tab E with modest specs.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab E in June this year, and the tablet has made its way to some eastern markets such as Taiwan and India. Samsung never revealed any information about releasing the tablet in North America, but now Verizon has listed the device on its official website without a lot of fanfare.

The Galaxy Tab E comes with a 9.6-inch TFT display with a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution and 157ppi. The tablet runs on a quad-core 1.3GHz processor and 1.5GB of RAM.

The Samsung tablet includes a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy Tab E lacks flash, which means users may not take quality images in low-light conditions.

According to Verizon's official website, a massive 7,300mAh battery fuels the Galaxy Tab E, which can offer up to 21 hours of usage and up to 45 hours of standby time.

"The 7,300 mAh battery keeps you powered up to watch, read and game. Use Ultra Power Saving Mode to make the battery last even longer by only using essential applications," reads the product description of the Galaxy Tab E on Verizon's website.

The Galaxy Tab E has 16GB of internal storage. Users can increase the memory up to 128GB using a microSD card. Increased memory means that Galaxy Tab E users can save more music, movies and books on the tablet, turning the device into a mobile entertainment system.

The tablet will come running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The Galaxy Tablet E has a multi-user mode, which allows sharing the tablet while keeping personal information safe.

"Rest easy when you let friends, family and colleagues use your Galaxy Tab E. Multi-User Mode allows you to save your favorite settings and apps under an individual login. That keeps your personal information safe when someone else is signed in," Verizon stated.

The "Kids Mode" of the Galaxy Tab E brings child-friendly functions to the tablet. Parents can monitor their kid's activities on the tablet as well.

"Kids Mode provides a wide range of fun, educational apps for your children, along with cute, adorable characters and icons—a boon for younger Tab E users. Monitor your children's Tab E activities, block unsuitable apps and set time limits for their tablet usage," stated Samsung.

Verizon is offering the Galaxy Tab E for $329.99 without any contract and for $129.99 on a two-year contract. Qualified customers also have the option to pay for the tablet in 24 monthly installments of $13.74.
