PC gamers still wanting to get their hands on Batman: Arkham Knight don't have much longer to wait: Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios plans on re-releasing the PC version of the game at the end of October.

This re-release comes after the publisher and developer pulled the PC version of the game off the market after receiving reports about multiple issues, including problems with frame rate, audio issues, stuttering, bugs, glitches and freezing.

The PC issues were so prevalent that most of the 8,000-plus reviews of that version of the game on Steam were mostly negative. Steam, as well as physical retail locations, even offered refunds on the game because of the problems.

"We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC," wrote Warner Bros on its forum in June. "We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards."

For those who purchased and kept the PC version of the game, Warner Bros. offered up an interim patch last month to fix many of the game's problems.

Now, though, it seems that Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios believe that the PC game is ready for re-release. The game's Steam page also confirms that all DLC currently available on the console version of the game (which generally garnered rave reviews from gamers) will also then become available for the PC game.

"As many of you know, we released a major patch for Batman: Arkham Knight PC a few weeks ago," writes Warner Bros. on the game's Steam page. "While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post. We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place."

However, the question remains: will PC players even buy the game at this point, especially so close to the holiday season with other AAA titles soon hitting shelves?
