Fans of Lara Croft have received details about the soon-to-be-launched Rise of the Tomb Raider game. The game's cost and the availability of a season pass became public.

The biggest online shopping retailer in the world, Amazon, is responsible for the leaked season pass' price. A listing that was not supposed to be published right away indicates buyers will have to shell out $29.99 for the content that will be released after Nov. 10.

The precocious listing happened because Amazon allows gamers to purchase codes for titles and digital goods straight through the online shop. After the transaction is done, the buyer receives an email from Amazon with a numeric key that may be used in Xbox One's store for unlocking gear or items of choice.

Thanks to the listing, users can now preorder both Rise of the Tomb Raider as well as the season pass with Amazon credit. A note of caution is necessary since there is no info about the exact content of the season pass for Rise of The Tomb Raider.

"The Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider includes a range of content that will extend your single-player campaign and allow you to compete with friends," the description says.

The second part of the description may get fans excited. Since it is confirmed that the Rise of the Tomb Raider has no multiplayer, fans may be in for a surprise. It is risky business to tantalize buyers with mysterious information so close to the release of the game, but it might pay off. The worst case scenario could be that players simply get a leaderboard system or another static way of comparing achievements with their friends.

Season passes are keys that provide gamers access to full in-game content and are a different approach from the now-traditional DLC. Downloadable content that developers release constantly does keep the attention focused on a title, but the model receives serious flak from the gaming community.

Microsoft and Square Enix promise to give more details about the game's season pass soon.

This week, Microsoft told the press that holiday shoppers can get an Xbox One Bundle for $399, which contains a digital copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released on Nov. 10 for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
