'Tis the season for spooks and ghouls and late nights watching monster movies. But if one scary movie causes you to break out in a sweat and unable to sleep alone at night for weeks afterwards, you may want to skip the scary movie fests.

But if you still want to enjoy your popcorn nights at home, here are some appropriately Halloween-themed movies that won't give you nightmares. So stream them tonight or download them for viewing later. Don't worry, we won't tell anyone who's the 'fraidy cat.

Beetlejuice

He's a ghost who just wants to have fun and fulfill his contracts. Just don't ever say his name three times. Tim Burton's crazy characters were brought to life by Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder as the Goth teen who's house was haunted by a reluctant ghost couple.

Shaun Of The Dead

This British Movie pokes fun, in a delightfully hilarious way, at the zombie movie trend. Particularly the Living Dead series of movies by George A. Romero. Shaun must keep his friends, ex-girlfriend, and mother safe in a place that he knows like the back of his hand. The neighborhood bar.

Army of Darkness

Bruce Campbell, the Raimi brothers, 'nuff said. Every horror aficionado knows the chainsaw-armed Ash and his mission to save the world from an evil army of skeletons brought back to life. And since a reboot is being tossed around, now is a good time to get reacquainted with the comic book style trilogy.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer

A Joss Whedon classic. The original Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie introduced us to the cheerleader who could save the world from vampires. Kristy Swanson starred as the Valley Girl slayer before the role was made for TV.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Nothing screams un-scary like a big movie musical. That, and Tim Curry in high heels and fishnet stockings. But this cult classic remains a favorite Halloween guilty treat that will have you singing the Time Warp again and again and again.
