Stratasys and Adobe have announced a partnership that will bring 3D printing to creative professionals around the world.

The partnership will see 3D printing being much more accessible to users of Adobe's Photoshop CC, with the first step in the partnership being that users can send their 3D files to be made through Stratasys Direct Express.

"Adobe and Stratasys share a common vision: to provide our users with the ultimate color 3D printing experience and enable them to create amazing things no one ever dreamed of before. We are excited to be working together with Stratasys to help users unleash the full potential of color 3D printing," said Adil Munshi, VP and general manager Print and Publishing BU at Adobe, in a statement.

The partnership was announced at Adobe MAX 2015 in L.A., and users can take advantage of the partnership starting immediately.

The announcement comes a year after Adobe announced some changes to its Photoshop Creative Cloud platform, including built-in options for 3D printers and 3D printing. What this meant was that users could turn their 3D designs into 3D files without any real problems.

Adobe also said that it is looking at ways to leverage the potential of 3D printing to carry complete color information from process of designing to the final printed product. This will, of course, be important for 3D designers, and currently, colors can sometimes be a little off for 3D-printed projects.
