Activision is turning up the hype machine for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 with a new announcement that it will be airing a weekly video series until the game's official launch on November 6.

Dubbed "Black Ops Friday," the video series will be aired over the official Call of Duty YouTube channel every Friday starting on October 9 and continuing through October 16, 23 and 30 at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT).

As Scott Lowe, communications manager for Activision says, Black Ops Friday will feature "new, never-before-seen" live footage from Black Ops 3. The series will also include interviews with developers and answer questions from gamers who send in their questions via Twitter using the hashtag #BO3Fridays. The series will also include new gameplay, among other features.

Activision says the first video will include the official reveal of the Ninth Specialist — something many fans have been looking forward to, coming up with a few theories. Activision will also unveil a new map and hold a Q&A session with fans. There's no word yet on what's in store for the second, third and fourth series though, as Activision and game developer Treyarch seem keen to keep gamers on their toes.

Activision is no stranger to using video series to pump up excitement for its upcoming titles. Prior to the release of Bungie's Destiny: The Taken King, the game publisher also held weekly livestreams to make sure gamers were all psyched for the game's release.

And, for sure, many Call of Duty fans are expected to show up every Friday this month, as Black Ops 3 has been listed by Nielsen as the most anticipated video game of the year — topping both Fallout 4 and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a first-person shooter video game set in a dystopian world in 2065. The sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the game will be available on November 6 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
