Fans everywhere are rejoicing that "Community" has finally found a new home at Yahoo Screen after being bounced from NBC earlier in the year. It looks like there will be another season of hijinks at Greendale Community College after all.

Yahoo Screen has picked up the carcass of "Community" and is giving the comedy a new home for at least the next 13 episodes. There were talks between Sony and Hulu about continuing the series back in June, but those negotiations fell apart in the last week. Showrunner Dan Harmon, who has taken his knocks over his brainchild in recent years, will be returning as well to call the shots, so to speak.

"I am very pleased that 'Community' will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo," Harmon said in a press release. "I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, 'Big Bang Theory.' Look out, BangBus!"

While the Internet fans have pleaded for "six seasons and a movie," they can now sit back and take a breather. The dream of die-hard fans has been realized and the buzz around the web is palpable. The news appears to be reaching a fever pitch as it makes its way throughout every crevice of the Internet. And even though the show is moving from network television to an Internet platform, don't expect the cast to change, because star Joel McHale has already committed himself to the "Community" cause.

“The reports of our cancellation have been greatly exaggerated.’ ---Mark Twain (The other version of this quote has been wrong for years). #SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real," McHale said in the press release. "Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon. And thank you to the greatest f%$#ing fans in the history of the human race. It’s the internet. We can swear now."

It is clearly a win for the power of the Internet and a show of faith that with some support and serious passion, fans can do big things. And that is who "Community" should be thanking. And the giant tech giant Yahoo, of course. No word yet on a start date or when the show will be returning, but TechTimes will keep you posted on any "Community" news as it breaks.
