Google and LG Electronics appears to be the best of friends after the search giant stated that LG Electronics is the best partner for Nexus smartphones. Many view the LG Nexus 5 as one of the best smartphone devices, so it comes as no surprise that Google is praising the company.

From what Google had to say, it is clear why the company tapped LG Electronics to help build the 2015 Nexus smartphones. The partnership seems strong as engineers from both companies enjoy working with each other, so it would appear the future might bring forth more LG-based Nexus smartphones in the years to come.

"LG Electronics is the best partner for us in engineering the Nexus smartphones," Google's vice president of Android Engineering Dave Burke said, according to Korea Times. "We share the same approach to the mobile device market with LG Electronics. Our engineers really like to work with the people at LG. Together they have become an excellent team."

For those who are not aware, LG Electronics is the company behind the Nexus 5X. It is a cheap Android device designed for those who are not able to meet the high demands of the high-end handsets such as the Nexus 6P, which is the work of Huawei. The 5X comes with a 5.2-inch display and 16GB of internal storage, along with a cool 12.3-megapixel. The device also comes with a fingerprint security sensor, one that is similar to what Apple has implemented in its own line of iOS devices.

The LG Nexus 5X only costs $379 to own which is not exactly cheap, but cheaper than most from our point of view.

At the end of the day, we'd love to see how closely Google and LG Electronics will bring their relationship. If what the search giant is saying holds true, then both companies in the future could collaborate on more than just smartphones.
