Lenovo has taken the wraps off of its latest two-in-one offering, the Yoga Home 900, which is designed to provide a full desktop computing experience while also offering a tablet. This really challenges the idea of the traditional desktop computer.

The device is designed for portability and cuts as many cords as possible, offering a massive 27-inch touchscreen display.

Unlike most other desktop computers, the Yoga Home 900 features a battery life of up to three hours, meaning that users can unplug from the power source and move their desktop computer around the house. Of course, with its 27-inch display and 7 kg (15.43 lbs) weight, it's not as "portable" as Lenovo likes to suggest, however, users will be able to move their computer from room to room pretty easily.

Under the hood, the computer features a 5th generation Intel Core i7 processor, which is a little behind at this point. It also comes with an optional Nvidia GeForce 940A graphics card. It also offers 1 TB of solid state storage and ships with Windows 10. Last but not least, the computer will come with 8 GB of RAM.

While it remains to be seen if users actually want a 27-inch tablet that they can move around the house, there are certainly some instances in which it might be helpful, such as for graphic designers or, as demonstrated by Lenovo during its press event, graffiti artists. It also might be interesting for people like gamers, and the device can be laid down flat to play games like air hockey.

The Lenovo Yoga Home 900 will start at $1,549 and will be available later this month.
