Leaked images of the rumored OnePlus X, also known as E1001, surfaced on a Chinese consumer portal, Tenaa, a week ago. Now, more images were leaked, this time, on Weibo, another Chinese consumer website.

OnePlus, an electronics manufacturer and maker of the sought after OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 smartphones, has an event on Oct. 29 where the rumored device will be unveiled. Based on the images shown, the upcoming handheld will likely have a 2.5D arc edge, just like the recently released Oppo R7s.

The leaked photos also indicate consumers will have at least two options for the OnePlus X's color scheme: either black or white. One of the recent leaked images on Weibo also gives a rough length and width measurement, 140 mm (approx. 5.5 inches) x 65 mm (approx. 2.5 inches), respectively. This is in line with Tenaa's listing, which also specified the thickness at 6.9 mm (approx. 0.27 inches). Considering the dimensions, the 1,920 x 1,080 resolution should be a perfect fit for the OnePlus X.

If Tenaa's listing for the OnePlus X is true, it will be fitted with a Snapdragon 801 system on chip (SoC), a quad-core clocked at 2GHz. The SoC will be accompanied by either a 2 GB or 3 GB RAM and a 16 GB internal storage capacity, which should be expandable to at least 32 GB.

The main shooter will be a 13 MP one from Sony while the front-facing camera will be 8 MP. The battery is speculated to be somewhere near 2,450 mAh.

Needless to say, the OnePlus X will not be a flagship device. It's too early for one anyway since the manufacturer just released the OnePlus 2 a couple of months ago. The good news is that it has a USB Type-C connector. Moreover, based on the bands listed, the OnePlus X is likely to support 4G LTE.

The handheld appears to target the midrange market, which is consistent with the listed price at Tenaa of $250. With the flagships out, more midrange smartphones are expected to be released, especially with the coming holidays.

Everything listed here is purely speculative. The official confirmation will come if and when the rumored device is released. Until then, the figures here should be taken with a grain of salt.
