Marvel Comics has released its full solicitations for Jan. 2016. The highlights include a number of "All-New All-Different" debuts and some pivotal Star Wars developments.

Let's take a look.

The one that's likely to get the most attention from the media is All-New All-Different Avengers #4, thanks to a kiss between two Avengers: Thor and Captain America. That is, Jane Foster and Sam Wilson. In no way whatsoever is this development — or Alex Ross' cover art that goes with it — an attempt at grabbing headlines. No, siree Bob.

The one we're most excited for is Old Man Logan, which should finally explain how this alternate universe Logan winds up in the main Marvel Universe. The solicitation says that, after all he went through in his own dimension, he's pretty excited to find himself in a world where none of that happened — at least not yet. His mission statement will be to prevent similar tragedies from occurring here. Sounds like fertile soil for quality, character-driven drama to us.

Invincible Iron Man, which got a one-month head-start on the rest of the All-New All-Different, heads into its first story arc's finale with issue #5. Expect the requisite big revelations and shocking twists. Captain Marvel heads up her new #1 with a story written by the dynamic duo from Agent Carter, show runners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas. The plot has Carol Danvers heading up a new space program intended to protect Earth from alien threats. The name of this program? Alpha Flight.

Over in the Star Wars corner of all things Marvel, the "Vader Down" crossover reaches its conclusion with Darth Vader #15, while Star Wars: Anakin & Obi-Wan debuts a new canon tale from between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.
