Oct. 21, 2015 is not your ordinary day because, to most fans of the "Back to the Future" series, it's officially the day when Marty McFly and Doc Brown arrived in their time machine Delorean from 1989 in Director Robert Zemeckis' "Back to the Future Part II." There is a slight difference with the film's entry to their 2015 and the real 2015, though, because Marty and Doc ended up on the stage of the Brooklyn Academy of Music and in the middle of a monologue on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

Kimmel was delivering his monologue when two familiar people drove in the set and got out of the car to loud cheers from the audience. In a perfect way to celebrate "Back to the Future" day, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd guest-starred in Jimmy Kimmel's show as their characters from the 1989 film, in the exact wardrobe they wore, and on the exact day they supposedly arrived in the future.

Sadly, there are no flying cars and hoverboards like what they had imagined in the films. Jimmy Kimmel had to break the news to them and they both were not impressed with the real 2015. Well, considering how awesome their vision of 2015 was back in the 80's, that kind of reaction from the time traveling duo is expected.

"Apparently the technological and cultural achievements of this era are somewhat underwhelming" Doc Brown expressed after Kimmel told them that nearly all their predictions about the technological advancements in 2015 did not come true.

"What the hell have you guys been doing for 30 years?" Marty asks in disbelief and Kimmel proceeds to explain what exists in the real 2015. If there's one thing they seem to be intrigued about, though, it's smartphones, especially after Kimmel used his to take a selfie with the duo.

Of course, after seeing the disappointment that is the real 2015, Marty and Doc Brown climb back in the Delorian to repair the time-space continuum, thinking that they traveled to an alternate timeline.
