If you've watched the latest Dragon Ball Z movie, you'll know that both Goku and Vegeta have achieved a whole new level of power. It's called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, and just as regular old Super Saiyan came with some fancy blonde hair, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan turns hair blue.

The official name of the form is a a bit of a mouthful (and redundant), so it looks like the creators of the ongoing Dragon Ball Super have decided to do something about it. In the latest issue of the Dragon Ball Super manga (via Kotaku) a new name for the form is proposed : Super Saiyan Blue.

Turns out Goku is just as tired of having to say Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan as readers are of reading it. The exchange between Goku and Vegeta that prompts the change can be read below, as Goku repeatedly bites his tongue trying to say the phrase. Whis, who was introduced in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods, then swoops down to offer a solution. This translation comes from the folks over at Saiyan Island.

Vegeta: "Hahaha! That's just what I was hoping for! Obviously if we're both Super Saiyan God Super Saiyans, then as an elite I'll definitely be superior!!"

Goku: "No way, my Super Saiyan God Super...Ow!!! I bit my tongue!!!"

Vegeta: "......"

Goku: "Hey Vegeta, can't we do something about that long name?"

Whis drops down

Whis: "How about...Super Saiyan Blue?"

Vegeta: "..."

Goku: "Blue....."

Super Saiyan Blue it is! It's kind of goofy (why not call the old forms Super Saiyan Gold?) but it definitly beats having to say and read Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan over and over again. It's nice to see the creators thought the name was a little ridiculous as well and managed to make a funny couple of panels out of it. Now all we have to do is wait for the inevitable Super Saiyan Blue 2.
