LG announced its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G3 along with the G Watch in the end of May. Individual U.S. carriers have now started to announce the release date for their version and AT&T customers started receiving pre-orders for G3 on July 8.

LG announced the LG G3 smartphone at the company's press events, which took place in six cities around the globe, which included New York, London, Seoul, San Francisco, Istanbul and Singapore on May 27.

"The smartest innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market is creating harmony between advanced technology and a simplified user experience," says Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "LG G3 is the result of our effort to actualise that idea into a tangible product. And we are extremely pleased with the result."

All top four U.S. carriers have confirmed that they will offer the latest LG G3 and the G Watch. Sprint has already announced that its customers will be able to buy the smartphone and the smartwatch starting July 18. AT&T customers can order G3 from the company's website starting July 8. Both the devices will hit AT&T stores on July 11.

"We've been working diligently to be the first U.S. carrier to offer the brand new LG G Watch and among the first to offer the LG G3 smartphone on the nation's most reliable 4G LTE network," says Jeff Bradley, senior vice president - Devices, AT&T. "AT&T offers one of the largest and best selections of LG devices and these products take our device portfolio to the next level. The LG G3 is a cutting-edge device and our first in a next-gen Quad HD display."

To lure customers, AT&T is also offering a promotional offer where customers can get 50 percent off on the G Watch if they buy it together with the G3 smartphone on a contract. The G Watch carries a price tag of $229 and the G3 will be available for $199 on a two-year contract. The company did not reveal the price of the handset without contract but it is estimated to be around $600.

AT&T is also offering the LG G3 for $24.17 per month on AT&T Next 18 and $29 per month with AT&T Next 12, without any down payment.

The G Watch is one of the first smartwatches, which will come preloaded with Android Wear operating system. The G Watch can be used as a companion device not just with LG smartphones but also with smartphones made by other companies running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or above.

LG announced the G3 smartphone in three color options: Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold. However, the Shine Gold color of LG G3 will be initially exclusive to Sprint in the U.S.; AT&T customers will have to keep themselves happy with the black or white color options of the handset.
