Samsung is rumored to be planning to release a follow up to its superhero themed Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge. Fans of Marvel's Ant-Man can get a themed Galaxy S6 Edge+ handset.

Samsung likes to squeeze as much as it can out of its flagship smartphones and phablets and one of its most common techniques has been offering new colors to help spur sales. The company most recently introduced two new Galaxy Note 5 models, which are offered in Pink Gold and Titanium Silver, and appear to be a direct response to Apple's iPhone 6s Plus Rose Gold and Silver color potions.

Samsung has also found success in offering limited edition smartphones, and most recently introduced the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man edition, which features a specially designed case to match the superhero's trademark red and gold colors and a matching wireless charger. The Iron Man Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is part of collaboration between the smartphone maker and Marvel Comics and one of the 1000 limited edition devices actually sold for $1,079 in June.

A new report claims that Samsung is reportedly preparing to release a superhero-themed version of its Galaxy S6 Edge+ phablet. The device will be based on Ant-Man and will match the red and dark blue colors of the character's suit and have his helmet printed on the back of the phablet.

The specs of the Ant-Man Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ are expected to match the current model, which includes a 5.7-inch dual-curved Quad HD Super AMOLED display, octa-core Exynos processor, and 4GB of RAM. The phablet boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, all housed in a premium glass and metal case.

There's no word on when we can expect to hear an official Ant-Man Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ announcement, but we'll keep you posted.
