Scottish Water discovered two castles in Glasgow while laying the groundwork for a wastewater infrastructure upgrade. One is a castle that was used by 12th- or 13th-century bishops, and the other is a tower house, Partick Castle, that was constructed on the site in the 17th century after the earlier castle was demolished.
