Birth Defects In Children May Shorten Mothers' Lives

Mothers who have children with congenital anomaly have increased risk of early death than their counterparts with unaffected children, reports a recent study. The rate of death was found to be 1.60 per 1,000 women in affected mothers and 1.27 per 1,000 women in unaffected mothers over a period of 21 years.
