David Mizejewski of the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) advised leaving fallen leaves alone in gardens and yards. The benefits of fallen leaves included serving as critical habitat for wildlife, being a natural mulch and soil fertilizer, and adding enjoyment from the fall weather.
