Scientists successfully tracked how a female blue whale traveled to and from the waters of the Chilean coast for the first time. This successful documentation, the scientists believe, is a big step in trying to identify the large mammal’s migratory and breeding pattern. Hints of breeding have also been seen when the scientists compared genetic patterns of sample whales from different regions.
