Solomon Snacks and Bakery in Minnesota is recalling 873 pounds of its chicken, beef and turkey meat pies from retail stores. These products did not go through standard USDA inspection and were not properly labeled.

A recent report by Bloomberg has found that a number of cheese products sold in supermarkets contains small amounts of the wood pulp-based anti-clumping agent known as cellulose. Some products also include amounts of cheaper cheese, such as cheddar, instead of real Romano.

Researchers sampled 48 ground meat products and found two of them contained horse meat, which is illegal in the U.S. Suppliers may be intentionally cutting costs or there might be cross-contamination at processing plants.
