A new leak about Resident Evil 9 surfaced, suggesting that the game is closer than the fans think, as CAPCOM might release it in early 2025.

Initially, there were reports that Resident Evil 9 was being delayed for its upcoming release, but the same leaker revealed this release date rumor to the world.

Aesthetic Gamer, best known as Dusk Golem, is back with a massive thread that brings massive leaks about Resident Evil 9, with the leaker bearing good news about the title's release date.

The leaker regarded that Resident Evil 9 is coming next year and even provided a slightly more accurate release window where it would be released by January 2025, according to their sources.

Moreover, the leaker revealed that this is also the release window that CAPCOM is targeting for its ninth main installment of the renowned action-horror.

Dusk Golem also revealed that CAPCOM has worked on RE9 since 2018. The title has been a long time coming, but it was made as RE8, which then reverted to the eighth release.

The leaker further said that Resident Evil 9 has the largest budget and saw the longest development time than any other Resident Evil game in history.

Moreover, the developers at CAPCOM suggested that this game would be massive and described it as an "ambitious" release.

Speculations focus on this game to bring Rose Winters to be the lead, following the events of RE8 Village, which saw the unclear death of her father, Ethan Winters.

The Resident Evil Franchise

CAPCOM's renowned action horror franchise, Resident Evil, is one of the most successful and famous in the gaming industry.

It is best known for offering a complete package with a compelling story, immersive action, and downright fright to gamers.

That being said, the latest release from the company, Resident Evil VIII: Village, is known for being one of its most successful games.

Because of its popularity, the game has been in demand since the world caught wind of a possible Resident Evil remake that will bring the renowned games back to life for modern consoles to play.

The latest in the company's re-releases was Resident Evil 4's remake, best known as one of its most successful releases and one of the most beloved titles from the franchise.

The remakes may have been fillers between each release of  Resident Evil's main continuity games, but they also gave users a chance to re-experience (for old-time gamers) or interest themselves in the franchise.

Four years have passed since the main storyline's last release, but there will no longer be a longer wait as Resident Evil 9 is leaked for its January 2025 release.
