A new change on X is now tweaking the Block button, the renowned feature that would prevent another account from interacting, messaging, or viewing your posts, a feature that social media is known for to keep others out.
In this tweak, blocked users would be able to see the replies that the person who blocked them sent via the platform.
It is known that Elon Musk is not a massive fan of the block feature, and it was hinted that this would be removed from the platform at some point.
X's Block Feature Gets a Tweak to Show Content From Blockers

X's Engineering account posted about a new change on the platform that tweaks the Block button feature. It says that instead of being completely shut out by the person who blocked them, they may have a chance to see the content.
However, the content that blocked accounts can only see is the direct replies to their posts made by the person who blocked them.
For example, if an account blocked you, the previous feature would remove all the content from them, and the blocked user would no longer be able to see what they said despite replying directly.
In this new direction, blocked users would still be able to view the replies and follow the conversation's flow, giving them a chance to take appropriate action, like reporting the other party.

Will the Block Feature Be Gone from X?
With this change in the Block feature rolling out, a question remains to be answered: Will it still be available in the future, particularly as Elon Musk is known to be against blocking?
It remains unknown what X has in store for users, but the team's wording suggests that the block feature will soon receive more changes.
X and Elon Musk's Changes
More than a year has passed since Elon Musk successfully acquired Twitter, now known as X, and the platform has undergone massive changes.
Musk made it clear that he owns the platform and that it will steer away from the old practices of the former social media created by Jack Dorsey. His first order of business was changing how the verification blue checkmark works.
One of the most recent features on X is adding groups to the social media platform. This will clearly separate the "safe for work" (SFW) and "not safe for work" (NSFW) content seen on X.
While it does not necessarily mean that X removes the NSFW or explicit content, it will take it behind closed doors for groups with shared interests.
Instead of being the renowned short word social media, X is leaning towards a "video-first" platform focusing on live streaming, web series releases, and more to showcase creators and their works.
However, these are not the only aspects of the old Twitter that are changing. The Block button will also change, giving blocked users a chance to see the replies directed to them and take appropriate action.
