A new world record was set by a South African YouTuber, enlisting the help of his father, to create the World's Fastest Drone, which was recently inducted into Guinness World Records.
It could fly at mind-boggling speeds of almost 300 miles per hour, easily beating the previous world record holder, Red Bull.

The world record team verified that this remote-controlled quadcopter recorded whopping speeds of 298.47 miles per hour or 480.23 kilometers per hour on that day.
Guinness shared that Luke, the YouTube content creator, is fascinated by flying drones and wanted to make one that can go incredibly fast.
During the test, Guinness said that the duo made various speed runs in opposite directions to fight the wind and achieve the maximum RPM of its propeller.

Beating the Previous World Record Saw Fiery Challenges
Luke Bell recently shared their journey in making the world's fastest drone on his YouTube channel, detailing the happenings from the beginning, conceptualizing it to 3D printing and creating the body, programming the drone, and finally flying it.
However, while this seemed like smooth sailing, the Bells shared its fair share of challenges, including fiery ones, especially as the drone would catch ablaze for flying at massive speeds.
The good thing is that they were able to fix the issue and went on to set the world record, beating Red Bull's previous record set last February.
