After months and months of waiting, the time has finally come—WWE 2K16 is finally in stores as of Tuesday, October 27.
To celebrate the highly-anticipated title's release, WWE 2K uploaded its 'Launch' trailer, offering the WWE Universe and gamers alike a glimpse of the game's great new features.
The action-packed clip, which runs nearly two minutes and 30 seconds, starts out with a blitz of Superstars — such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Triple H and Roman Reigns—each entering the ring and interacting with the crowd via gameplay sequences right from WWE 2K16.
That presents an apt segue for WWE 2K, which begins to flash all of its new features, including what the game calls its "Greatest Roster Ever." No argument there, considering the title has over 120 unique characters.
As the trailer continues, showing legends such as 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, Ric Flair and The Rock, the next feature that the trailer boasts is the title's ability to allow gamers to "Relive an Iconic Career" via the WWE 2K16 Showcase function.
That sets up the transformation of Stunning Steve Austin into Stone Cold Steve Austin, the no-nonsense, butt-kicking Texas Rattlesnake, who was an instant favorite with fans in the WWE Attitude Era.
Other features that this 'Launch' trailer previews are the My Career mode, which lets gamers create and define their WWE legacies, the ability to build and manage the WWE Universe by making matches and customizing events, the bolstered three-man commentary team and the WWE 2K Creation Suite for full personalization down to your character's hairstyle.
