Chinese company LeTV has announced the fourth smartphone in its lineup, the Le 1s, which seems to be a spin-off of the Le 1 that was announced earlier this year. The new phone gives us a better look at how the company is building its smartphone range, and many hope that one day, the company will finally launch a device internationally.

One of the most important things to note about the device is its price, which sits at 1100 yuan, equating to around $173. That's a pretty cheap smartphone, and the price puts LeTV in competition with the likes of Huawei and Xiaomi, two of the most popular Chinese smartphone manufacturers.

LeTV doesn't seem to be skimping out on specs, either. The device features a metal body and a 5.5-inch display with a 1080p resolution with almost no bezels on either side. These two things alone give the device a very classy and quality look, despite the low price.

Apart from that, the phone features a MediaTek Helio x10 Turbo processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It uses a USB-C connector that enables fast charging, 32 GB of onboard storage and even dual-4G SIM support. Next up is the camera, which sits at 13 MP and offers a 0.09-second autofocus speed. A fingerprint scanner can be found on the back of the device.

All these specs are what would normally be found on a flagship device, which begs the question: where is LeTV making its money? Well, while Android is installed on the device, it's somewhat disguised by the LeTV EUI 5.5 skin. This adds access to media and content stores owned by the company, which is likely where it hopes to make most of its money.

The device will be sold in China starting on Nov. 3. Unfortunately, there's no word on an international release at this point.
