Mere days after unveiling the Droid Turbo 2 at a joint press release with Verizon, Motorola has dropped yet another handset—and once again, nothing cracked in the process.

The company skipped the official announcement in favor of repeating its phone-dropping-on-cinderblocks stunt from the other day, showcasing the shatterproof ShatterShield display, adding that the Moto X Force is "the phone with the world's first shatterproof display," which is kind of, of course, maybe true, depending on whether you classify this is a different device than its carrier-branded counter part.

The rest of the specs ought to look fairly familiar as well. There's an impressive 3,760 mAh battery on board, promising 48 hours of life by Motorola's account, which can be charged back up 13 hours in 15 minutes, courtesy of the special charging cable.

The display is 5.4-inch quad-HD, with a 2-GHz octocore Snapdragon inside and a 21-megapixel camera on the rear. There are also a slew of different backing options, including leather and ballastic nylon.

The device is currently listed as "coming soon" on Motorola's site.
