The over-the-top rock n' roll band, known for their on stage theatrics and black and white make-up may be starring in an autobiographical movie soon. At least according to band member Gene Simmons. That's not all, apparently the band will also be featured in a new video game as well as in an animated series for TV.

Simmons told reporters during promotions for the KISS Australian concert tour that the band is working with Mark Johnston to make a move about their lives and career.

Johnston has also worked on projects such as "Breaking Bad" and the "Chronicles of Narnia" movies – so it's all "legitimate, high end stuff," according to Simmons.

Although the band will be closely involved with the script for the potential film about them, Simmons also said that they will most likely hire actors to portray their 22-year-old selves rather than star in the film.

Previously the band had been featured in the 1978 live-action movie, "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park," which has been unanimously described as a movie that is so bad that it's good.

In addition to the movie, a cartoon show featuring the band would not be the first to feature them in animated form. KISS also appeared in the direct-to-video "Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery" and have also guest starred on "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy."

Reportedly, the new KISS animated show will be produced by Warner Bros., which was the company behind the "Scooby-Doo!" video.

And finally, Simmons says that the band's upcoming video game will "kick your a--." However, he divulged no further information on the specifics of any of these projects apparently because he does not want to rain on the parade of the various stakeholders who will be involved.
