World Wrestling Entertainment was more serious about cutting Hulk Hogan and wiping his mention from its history — for a racist recording — than you might have thought.

Earlier this week, a gamer found that out first hand, when creating the Hulkster as a character and uploading him to WWE 2K16's online servers resulted in him getting banned by the title's online community. The gamer, Daniel Comer, tweeted the issue to the game's online community manager, Bryan Vore.

Cormer must have done just that because his ban from WWE 2K16's online servers was lifted Wednesday. In other words, it seems like WWE 2K will not be punishing users, who create Hogan as a character and uploads him to their online servers.

This comes after 2K Games also honed in on gamers who were creating and uploading the late Chris Benoit in WWE 2K15. Benoit had long been banned from the WWE after notoriously murdering his wife and son, before killing himself.

Despite Hogan's controversial remarks, it was inevitable that people would try to create the biggest WWE Superstar of all time for the game. And it looks like WWE 2K is going to let it slide.
