A few months ago, Pebble revealed its latest smartwatch model, the Pebble Time Round. The circular design of the gadget is a first for the company, placing Pebble alongside other smartwatch OEMs such as Motorola, LG and Samsung.

Looking at the Pebble Time Round, it becomes apparent that the team behind it succeeded in creating the lightest and slimmest smartwatch on the market. Its thickness is only 0.29 inches, and its weight only 0.06 pounds. The watch is also water resistant for extra durability.

The color display with e-paper is always on, meaning that all notifications will get to the user instantly. Applications available for the gadget, calendar info and notifications are categorized into Past, Present and Future, thanks to Pebble's Timeline UI.

Delayed Shipping Times

The OEM announced that buyers who preordered the latest Pebble smartwatch will get their gadgets beginning Nov 8. Patience is a must for those who waited too much before ordering, however. A look on the company's website suggests that a delay of two to four weeks is due for those who place an order now.

Other ways to get your hands on the Pebble Time Round is to order it via e-commerce sites such as Pebble.com, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com or Target.com. Retail stores such as Target or Best Buy also offer the possibility to buy the gizmo directly from their shops.

Available Models And Color Options

The bands come in two sizes, 14mm and 20mm. The basic variant of the smartwatch with Stone Leather strap costs $249.99. The version with a Silver Mesh strap is $279.98, while the most expensive Pebble Time Round has stainless steel link straps and goes up to $299.98.

Smaller bands get an exclusive, rose gold finish, while black and silver finishes are available for every band size.

The color screens of the new Pebble smartwatch are a nice addition, even if the display has a limited chromatic scope of 64 colors. Pebble falls behind other smartwatches in the lack of certain sensors that are already commonplace in rival devices.

When compared to its rivals, Pebble Time Round shows a big plus in battery life, which surpasses the competition. A full charge provides two days of battery life for the watch, which also has an option to charge for 24 hours of activity in only 15 minutes.
