When AT&T announced the release of the LG G Vista 2 on its YouTube channel last month, both its price tag and availability were shrouded in mystery.

"Built for power and performance, with an all-new stylus and enhanced camera at a revolutionary value," AT&T advertised in the teaser video.

There's some good news and some bad news coming from the U.S. carrier. The good news is that the LG G Vista 2 is finally available for purchase from AT&T. However, the not-so-stellar information is that the device, which was supposed to be an affordable smartphone, has a rather hefty price.

The LG G Vista 2 costs $449 unlocked, which doesn't seem all that "revolutionary," but the carrier offers a number of other purchasing variants.

You may get the smartphone on a two-year standard contract, costing you $49.99 per month. The smartphone is also available with installments plans, costing $14.97 per month for 30 months with AT&T Next 24, $18.71 per month for 24 months with Next 18, or $22.45 per month for 12 months with Next 12.

Under the hood of the handset, the OEM packed a Snapdragon 617 SoC with eight cores (4 clocking at 1.5GHz and 4 running at 1GHz) and 2GB RAM. The internal storage space is 16GB out of the box, but can be expanded via a microSD card to a maximum of 32GB. The gadget is one of the devices from LG that is equipped with a stylus. The smartphone features a removable battery of 3000mAh.

The G Vista 2 has two cameras. The main one, from the rear side of the device, is a 13MP. The secondary camera is a 5MP front snapper. After taking pictures with any of the two cameras, you can view the results on the 5.7-inch 1080p IPS display.

The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with features LG-specific features such as Knock On, Knock Code, Quick Memo and QSlide.

AT&T is the exclusive carrier for the LG G Vista 2, according to a blog post of the mobile data provider.

Currently there is no info regarding the international release of the LG G Vista 2.
