AT&T has announced that it will begin offering the HTC Desire 610. It has a 4.7-inch display, quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and is priced at $199.99 off-contract.

HTC has been on a mission to regain the market share it lost to Samsung and Apple over the last few years. The company proved that it could still build smartphones that consumers wanted due mainly to design and materials used.

Last year's flagship HTC One (M7) won rave reviews from tech reviewers and consumers. HTC decided to make its smartphone standout from competing plastic Android phones from companies like Samsung and LG. HTC took a path similar to Apple, use premium materials and make a device that feels high-end, use a sleek and attractive aluminum case, and ensure it is fast. HTC them followed up with this year's flagship HTC One M8, which stuck to the recipe that made the original a hit, including anodized unibody brushed aluminum case and glass display.

AT&T has just announced that it will begin to offer a new HTC smartphone. The HTC Desire 610 will be available online and in retail stores and will be priced at $199.99 off-contract. If you purchase the smartphone through AT&T Next 18 for as little as $8.34 per month or only $10 per month with Next 12.

AT&T has given a quick rundown of what the HTC Desire 610 offers users:

  • "Immersive Audio: The front-facing HTC BoomSound speakers are positioned on the display side for immersive sound. A built-in amplifier boosts volume that's projected at you for a smartphone audio experience that you have to hear to believe.
  • Impressive Display: A 4.7-inch FWVGA (480 x 854) Super LCD at 199 ppi brings you content to life in eye-catching color.
