Reports are saying that customers who intend to get their hands on the new 128 GB iPad Pro may have to wait until a new batch of tablets are shipped.

The situation is particularly true with both the tablet's Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular versions. However, the tablet's 32 GB Wi-Fi version seems to show availability when customers pick up their preordered device in most stores in the United States. Those who want their 32 GB iPad Pro tablets shipped can request for an express delivery service which then promises a delivery date of Nov. 16. Likewise, free delivery is also available though the timing difference is only one day later.

Most customers have opted for the 128 GB model of the tablet, both Wi-Fi and WiFi + Cellular versions, which Apple retails at $949 and $1,070 respectively. The two versions were reported to be no longer available for pickup at most Apple stores while the delivery time was said to take from 12 to 15 days. Although each iPad Pro version is available in colors of silver, gold and space gray, the same stockout issue was also noted of in all colors of the tablet.

While the iPad Pro comes in two storage sizes, 32 GB and 128 GB, it's very obvious that most customers prefer the bigger version. As Apple stated on their official site, "The more gigabytes you have, the more content you can store on your iPad - apps, HD videos, movies, photos, books, magazines, and more. If, for example, you have a large music library or you frequently download HD movies, it's a good idea to consider an iPad with a larger storage capacity. If you have a relatively small music or photo library or rarely make or buy movies, an iPad with a smaller capacity may be better for you."

Customers are said to have been made to choose whether they would like to get the 32 GB iPad Pro or wait for the next shipping schedule for the tablet to be available.

Apple has acknowledged the issue and sent out a statement to Mashable along with a promise to resume regular shipments.

"Customers are very excited for iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard. We have limited supply of Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard in Apple Retail stores. Our stores will continue to receive regular shipments and we encourage customers to visit Apple.com for online availability and delivery dates."

Availability of the base model has been assured and those who wanted the 128 GB versions should expect a normal availability in about one week.

Purchasing an iPad Pro doesn't seem complete if it's not paired with the Apple Pencil and the new Smart Keyboard. After all, the tablet is designed for creative individuals who may want to express their creativity better with the accessories.

Apple is encouraging customers to purchase the Logitech CREATE keyboard which has been optimized to work perfectly well with the iPad Pro because of its Smart Connector feature.
