U2 has postponed its Saturday concert in Paris, following the explosions, hostage and gun attacks throughout the French capital.

U2 released a statement as regards the said event on the band's official website.

The Nov. 14 concert was canceled "as a result of the ongoing state of emergency across France," said the announcement.

However, U2 and Live Nation, alongside HBO who were to supposedly broadcast the Saturday concert have, confirmed that they are "fully resolved" to give a green light for the show "at an appropriate time."

The band expressed their grief at the tragedy that struck Paris and left at least 120 people dead.

"We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight," the band said.

The band's thoughts and prayers remain with the fans.

"U2: iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Live in Paris" was to be held and filmed at the Bercy Arena in Paris. The event was to be helmed by U2's longtime collaborator, Hamish Hamilton.

The concert film was set to premiere on Saturday, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The "iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE" set list spans the band's entire career, from "Boy" to "Songs of Innocence."

The collaboration with HBO was announced in July, along with the news that Hamilton would bring the AccorHotels Arena show, along with a behind-the-scenes documentary to TV sets worldwide. The concert-documentary combination is aimed at giving a deeper look into the band, "behind the scenes and on the stage," said Michael Lombardo, programming president for HBO.

Excited for the upcoming gig, the band had been posting photos from all over Paris, all week — the most recent photos just hours before the attacks. The band had played shows earlier this week, Tuesday and Wednesday, and was scheduled to play in the same venue on Sunday, Nov. 15.
