OnePlus, through a thread on its official forums, announced that it is now rolling out the OxygenOS 2.1.2 over-the-air update, with the update reaching users incrementally.

The China-based smartphone company detailed the improvements, fixes and additions included in OxygenOS 2.1.2 in the initial post of the thread.

The first thing listed in the OxygenOS 2.1.2 changelog is an improvement to the camera's UX. What kind of improvements, however, was not detailed, so OnePlus 2 users will need to just wait for the update to arrive and check it out.

The update also included improvements to performance for app installation and launching, along with support for customizing icons individually.

OxygenOS 2.1.2 also adds support for the Turkish and Russian languages, along with giving users the ability to change the wallpaper for their lockscreens.

The newest version of OxygenOS also includes patches for the security of the devices, general bug fixes and improvements to performance, and other fixes to the system update for improved stability.

The update also includes fixes for images in RAW format taken with third party camera apps, with the company noting that for Camera FV-5 users, the app will soon will be updated to support the RAW format on the OnePlus 2 smartphones as soon as the update is rolled out. The new version of Camera FV-5 would be version 2.79.5, with the update arriving a few days after OxygenOS 2.1.2 is pushed out.

OnePlus has recently released the OnePlus X, a $249 smartphone that the company announced last month after a series of rumors, leaks, and teasers made by OnePlus itself.

The OnePlus X comes in two models of Onyx and Ceramic, wherein the Onyx model has a back plate of dark glass with a mirror finish and rounded edges and the Ceramic model has a zirconia back plate with beveled edges. The smartphone features a 5-inch AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 and Adreno 330 GPU, with 3 GB of RAM.

The device comes with 16 GB of internal storage that is expandable though a microSD card slot up to 128 GB. The OnePlus X is also powered by the company's OxygenOS.
