Well, it’s no longer just a trilogy.

With the release of Dark Knight III: The Master Race just a few days away, it looks like the man behind this ultra-grim take on Batman isn’t done yet.

In an interview with Newsarama, Frank Miller confirmed that he’ll be back for a fourth installment in this ongoing Bat-saga—and not only that, it seems like the comics icon will be taking on the sole writing duties next time around.

"I thoroughly applaud what [Brian's] doing. But now that he's doing his, it's now a four-part series," Miller told Newsarama. "I'm doing the fourth."

For Master Race, Miller is receiving a “co-writer” credit along with Brian Azzarello, although it seems like his direct influence on the story is minimal.

When he was asked by Vulture how he pitched Master Race to DC, Miller responded by saying, “That was not my call! That was generated by them. But my call is the fourth one. It's got me all excited again, so I wanna get back to it.”

There is no indication on whether or not Miller will also be illustrating the next Dark Knight book, but if he does, be aware that his superheroes tend to be—for lack of a better term—anatomically correct.

But as the man himself said to Vulture, “If I pretended something wasn't there, I wouldn't really be doing a very good job. I'd hate to think that all my heroes had been castrated.”

Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1 hits shelves on November 25.
