Huawei has pushed out an update to its Huawei Watch, bringing with it a slew of features and enhancements.

The company has published a post on its Huawei Community to share the maintenance update.

"Starting today, the Huawei Watch will begin to receive an over-the-air software update that improves functionality and adds new features," says Huawei.

The update, which has the build number LCB43B, is released in waves, but Huawei promises that the rollout should be finished by the coming week. Considering it is an OTA update, this is going to automatically be downloaded to the wearable device. Users are going to receive a notification when the update is ready to be installed.

Huawei has laid out the specific modifications it incorporated in the new software build, which include:

– Optimization of the fitness tracking functionality to make step counting more accurate
– Optimization of the Bluetooth reconnect mechanism
– Optimization of the mic gain to enhance "Ok Google" detection capacity of the device
– A new application to show the battery level while the device is charging
– A fusion sensor of linear acceleration/gravity/rotation vector
– A new customizable watch face

Users can check for a system update, by doing these steps.

1. Long press the crown button to access the app launcher.
2. Choose the Settings app.
3. Select About.
4. Select System updates.

1. Open up the app launcher by long pressing the crown button.
2. Choose the Settings app.
3. Look for About and then click it.
4. You can then find out the build number when you scroll down.

The Huawei Watch comes equipped with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 400 x 400, translating to a pixel density of 286 ppi. It is 11.3 mm thick and has a 300 mAh battery that claims to go two days on a single charge.
