If you've been eyeing the Nvidia Shield Android TV for a while, now is a good time to purchase the device as Nvidia is offering a fantastic Black Friday deal on the set-top box.

Nvidia's Black Friday promotion on the device is reportedly an in-store deal only and you can save up to $100. The promotion kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 26, at 12:01 a.m. PST and will expire on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

So what can be had as part of the Black Friday offer? Nvidia is shaving off $50 on the Shield Android TV, as well as throwing in a free remote worth $49.99. The promotion is valid when one purchased the Nvidia Shield Android TV directly via Nvidia or in-store through retailers such as GameStop, Best Buy, Fry's and Micro Center.

The limited period promotional offer is valid for both the regular version of Shield and Shield Pro. Thanks to the Black Friday special the 16 GB Shield, which retails at $199.99, can be had for $149.99. You also get the remote which will enable you to dole out voice commands.

The Shield Pro with 500 GB of storage usually retails for $299.99, can now be purchased for $249.99. This, too, comes with the free controller.

Nvidia is also offering select Shield games at 50 percent discount at the Play Store.

"To celebrate Black Friday, we've slashed the prices for the following eight games in half. If any aren't already in your personal collection, now is the perfect time to grab them before the price goes back up on Monday, November 30th," notes Nvidia.

These titles are as all under $10 thanks to the discount and are as follows:

Contrast for $7.50
Doom 3 BFG Edition for $5
Half-Life 2 for $5
Half-Life 2: Episode 1 for $4 and Half-Life 2: Episode 2 for $4
Pix the Cat for $5

Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut for $5

For those who miss out on the in-store promotions, fret not as Nvidia will be extending the deal on Shield Android TV for all the couch potatoes. On Monday, Nov. 30, i.e. Cyber Monday, it will make the same offer available online on its own store, Newegg, Amazon and NCIX.
