It is already less than two weeks until the theatrical release of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" and, while speculations and excitement are both elevated, the cast and crew of the newest addition to the saga are doing their best to keep everyone hyped up, dishing out spoiler-free revelations in a hush-hush press conference Dec. 6 hosted by Mindy Kaling.

So what did the press conference reveal that people probably want to know? Read on young padawan.

No Jar Jar Binks or Ewoks

For those who may be concerned, you will not see Jar Jar Binks in The Force Awakens, a fact that Director J.J. Abrams himself revealed. Producer Kathleen Kennedy, on the other hand, confirmed that both aliens will not be part of the film, and that it was Harrison Ford who insisted on the Ewoks' absence. Ford even joked that his contract specified that Ewoks should not be a part of the film.

Princess Leia will be rocking a new look

Princess Leia steps back and General Leia steps forward. Carrie Fisher herself said that the Princess will be ditching her old look in favor of durable clothes and a vest. In Fisher's words, General Leia will sport "a classy gas-station attendant look" matched with "a baboon's-ass hairstyle" to complete the new look.

Yoda and Maz Kanata may have crossed paths in the past

When Kaling asked Lupita Nyong'o if her character, the thousand-year-old space pirate Maz Kanata, has an existing connection with Yoda, the actress joked that Yoda was Maz's first love. Ngyong'o does not have a definite answer since she is a new character so Abrams stepped in and said that he believes Maz and Yoday have crossed paths at some point. This, however, will not be happening in the movie.

It's not a case of black and white villainy for Kylo Ren

Kylo Ren is not your ordinary villain who is out for destruction for his own sake because his characterization is more three dimensional. "He's more dangerous and unpredictable, and morally justified in doing what he thinks is right," said Adam Driver.

When the credits roll, that's it for Episode VII

Abrams and Lucas Film will not be giving a sneak peek of anything that may have to do with "Star Wars Episode VIII" nor would any surprises be revealed. "No, there's not," Abrams clearly answered when someone asked if there will be a post-credits scene.

Episode VIII will start production soon

Kennedy revealed that "Star Wars Episode VIII," which will be directed by Rian Johnson, will begin production in January.

Here is a one-and-a-half-minute featurette from the cast and crew for your "Star Wars" fix before the film comes out on Dec. 18.
