Apple Music is no longer the only music streaming platform available on the new Apple TV.

Pandora announced on Thursday the launch of its app for the fourth-generation Apple TV on the tvOS App Store.

"We are excited to expand the devices we support with the release of the Pandora app on Apple TV. We continue to focus on an elegant and simple design for music listening and discovery to complement the Apple TV experience," Chris Phillips, chief product officer at Pandora, said in a press release. "Our team worked to ensure Pandora would be ready in time for listeners to enjoy during the holiday season."

Those who use Pandora as their platform of choice will now be able to stream music and radio stations directly from their television sets with the new Apple TV. Using the Pandora app, users can create their own personalized stations, discover new music and fill their living room with the sounds of their favorite songs.

The app is optimized for big screens and has a simple and organized interface so that searching for, managing your stations, and creating new ones is easy to do. The Pandora app for Apple TV also has built-in controls for skipping to the next song and giving a thumbs up or down for specific track.

Songs in the app feature album artwork, along with the title of the track, album title and the artist's name.

The Pandora app is free to download, but unlike Apple Music, this music streaming services does feature ads. For an ad-free listening experience, users can subscribe to Pandora One for $4.99 per month.

Pandora for Apple TV is available in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Those who already downloaded Pandora's iOS app can view the app in the Purchased section on the TV.

Along with bringing its platform to the TV screen, Pandora also rolled out an update for its iOS app to fix bugs in its music discovery.

Apple also released its tvOS 9.1 update on Wednesday, which now includes Siri support for Apple Music. The company also is reported to be working on a new Apple TV remote app that will bring Siri Remote capabilities to the iPhone.
