Customers in China who are shopping for smartphones just got a couple more year-end options.

That's because both the Samsung Galaxy A9 and HTC One X9 have launched in the country, according to multiple media reports, including The Verge. Neither company has revealed possible release dates for the devices in the United States as of press time.

After being heavily rumored, prior to this week's release in China, the One X9 will cost $370, touting an all-metal exterior, which, according to 9 to 5 Google, takes upward of 300 hours of manufacturing and more than 50 unique processes to make.

Under the hood of the 5.5-inch full HD display is a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core Helio X10 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB storage and a 3,000-mAh battery. The smartphone also touts a 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera. Users will also be excited to know that the One X9 boasts front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers as well.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A9 marks the top-of-the-line model from Samsung's Galaxy A series, featuring a 6-inch 1080p super AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass and 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and 8 megapixel front-facing camera.

Powered by Android's 5.1.1 Lollipop and a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, the smartphone also touts 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.

What really stands out about the Galaxy A9, though, is its high-powered 4,000 mAh battery, which fits snugly into its 7.4-mm thin frame. The unit also includes a fingerprint sensor which is infused into the device's home button. Pretty slick.

Which company's smartphone would you like to see hit in the U.S. first?
