They may be ships from a science fiction universe known as “Star Wars” but you can be sure that an incredible amount of thought went into each detail of every TIE fighter, X-Wing, speeder, transport Ship and yes, even the oversized “garbage,” the Millennium Falcon.

No panel or circuit board was left unturned in these intricate cross-section artworks by Kemp Remillard. His drawings and paintings of the ships from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” are featured in the book “Star Wars: The Force Awakens Incredible Cross-Sections” with descriptions written by by Jason Fry.

According to the official book blurb, the pages not only feature incredible artwork, but also the backstory of each vehicle seen in the movie.

“Twelve breathtaking artworks bring the new craft to life, showing all of the weapons, engines and technology, while engaging text explains each vehicle's backstory and key features.”

Rey's Speeder

For the first time ever, you can check out what's underneath the bulk of the speeder Rey uses on Jakku when she's out scavenging in the desert. According to the book's description of her unique vehicle, it's actually quite difficult to ride because of its bulk and top-heaviness. But Rey's incredible, natural ability for piloting and her genius-level mechanic skills make it a breeze for her to criss-cross back and forth with her precious finds with ease.

TIE Fighters

The new SF TIE Fighters of the First Order are given an up-close view as well, showing how the production gave the retro TIE fighters from 30 years ago numerous upgrades including improved weapons and defense capabilities, solar panels (who knew the First Order were Sustainable Energy advocates?) and additional features to allow two passengers to go on long-range operations.

Millennium Falcon

The book also shows the Millennium Falcon as you've never seen it before. Stripped down, it is clear that the ship Han Solo and Chewbacca called home for many years and in many adventures is definitely not the “garbage” Rey referred to as it lay festering under the Jakku sun in a junk heap of broken starships.

Have a look at these and other ships from the latest installment of the “Star Wars” saga in this new book available now.
